April KNERDY NIGHT

Stems of a wintering rose bush covered in layers of ice

On the eve of the April KNERDY NIGHT, the news warned us of an imminent ice storm. A weather system was coming from some faraway landscape. I made my way to the HPH and was rewarded with a spectacular scene of sparkling ice formations over shrubs and trees.

A pint of Original Local Lager

An hour into the event, a group, not affiliated with KN, was leaving. One of them walked over, and with a dazzling smile, introduced herself as a fellow knitter.

An evening shot of an intersection and a tree refelcting the light on it's icy branches.

I have noticed when I'm holding sticks and yarn and making fabric, there is a familiarity with strangers related to and will chat you up. I love that about the community we are building.
